History

The Council for Aluminium in Building (CAB) is a Trade Association formed in 1994 that promotes the use of aluminium in domestic and commercial applications. Its members include systems companies, fabricators, installers, hardware companies, finishers, extruders and glazing products manufacturers.

Support

CAB technical staff represent the sector on important BSi Standards Committees. The  members are kept fully up to date with the very latest information on industry standards, regulations and best practice through detailed Guidance Notes and technical updates.

Promotion

CAB promotes the benefits of using aluminium, especially its environmental benefits and is running a pilot Closed Loop Recycling Scheme to highlight the importance of recycling aluminium. CAB are also heavily involved in developing generic industry training courses for fabricators and installers to improve competency.
